Caribbean Beans & Rice
Ingredients:
• 1 cup of water
• 3 cans beans, rinsed (any color)
• 1/2 cup diced onion
• 1/2 cup chopped spinach
• 1/2 cup diced canned tomatoes
• 2 TBSP The Winemaker’s Kitchen Salsa & Guacamole Spice
• 1/2 cup chopped peppers
• 1tsp chopped garlic
• Cilantro stems for simmering (optional)
• 1 TBSP The Winemaker’s Kitchen Aji Colombian Hot Sauce
Instructions: Simmer all ingredients together for 3 hours and serve over white rice.
Shaved Steak Sandwiches
Ingredients:
• 2lbs shaved steak, room temperature
• 1 cup sweet onions, sliced thin
• 1 tsp The Winemaker’s Kitchen BBQ Spice
• 1 TBSP The Winemaker’s Kitchen Steak Seasoning
• 1 TBSP The Winemaker’s Kitchen Olive Oil
• 1/4 cup LaBelle Winery Red Alchemy or other red wine
Instructions: Cook onions in The Winemaker’s Kitchen Olive Oil and seasonings until soft. Add wine and continue to caramelize. Add shaved steak and cook on medium until slightly browned. Place in rolls of your choice or serve over rice. Add provolone and good quality mayonnaise to the rolls. You can also add hot peppers or bell peppers if desired. Enjoy!
Pot Du Creme
Amy LaBelle’s Pot du Creme Ingredients:
- 9oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 large egg yolks
- 5 Tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- The Winemaker’s Kitchen Red Wine Sauce for drizzling
Instructions: Place the chopped chocolate in a bowl and set aside. Over medium-heat, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, yolks, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Stir mixture constantly until it is thick enough to coat the spatula and almost to boiling (approximately 5-6 minutes.) Immediately pour the mixture over the chocolate. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes. Using an immersion blender, blend until combined and smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture into the mini martini glass or small glass cups and refrigerate until set. Drizzle with The Winemaker’s Kitchen Red Wine Sauce over top and enjoy!
